In Warzone I get packet loss, but it’s not as frequent as in Fortnite. It’s also worth noting that I only get packet loss on the upload side most of the time. Typically I get packet loss spikes every few seconds and the packet loss at times(maybe every minute or less), will go from 1-10% packet loss all the way up to 50% packet loss at its worst which is beyond unplayable to the point that I can’t even move in the game at all for at least a few seconds at a time. Fortnite, specifically gives me the absolute worst of problems as far as packet loss and ping spikes. Just for more general information, the games that I play are Call of Duty Warzone, Call of Duty Cold War & Fortnite. There are no issues as far as speeds go - I did a speed test a few moments ago and go 697mbps download/14.2mbps upload with a ping of 12. My Xfinity Internet plan advertises us to get 600mbps download/15mbps upload. Ethernet cable(other end) into gaming PC Ethernet port. Cat-6 Ethernet cable(one end) into modem Ethernet port. And just to specify before anything else, we do have 2 different devices(the Xfinity gateway & my third-party modem in my room)on the same connection and same plan that somehow Xfinity allowed us to do.Ĭoaxial cable(one end) into coaxial cable port in the wall -> coaxial cable(other end) into ARRIS ‘SB6190’ cable modem. So basically that lead me to getting my own setup/equipment in my bedroom for gaming. Since COVID started, my mother works from home in the office room and I am unable to move the gateway or do any tests on the gateway as she just does not want me messing with her area(understandable). In the office room is where the main Xfinity/Comcast(my ISP) gateway is kept. My mother has her own workstation in one room(call it the office room). My setup in my home(as I live with my mother and she is in control of the whole setup), consists of 2 parts to simply put it and I feel like this is important information to include. I am not going to sit here and complain to you guys on how mad and frustrated I am at my home networking situation as I can’t do my competitive gaming or stream and make extra income, but I am here trying to get help to fix it and solve this most importantly. While PingPlotter Mobile is streaming background audio, players can keep their eyes on the game, hear when network performance deteriorates, and take cover before lag negatively effects their experience. So as the title says, I have literally been struggling/dealing with packet loss for over the last 10+ months. Streaming a movie started almost immediately with Popcorn Time Zona takes a minute before enough buffering happens so the movie will stream. If you choose to download a movie with Zona, you keep the download as you would in a regular torrent client whereas streaming with Popcorn Time meant the torrented download disappeared after restarting your PC. The Zona website claims there are 1,000,000,000 hours of music, but accessing it first requires logging in via vk.com and I passed on setting up an account to check it out. When you start using Emacs on the Mac, one of the first issues you run into is how to get the darn '#' character to work! It seems like such a basic thing. This article assumes you know a bit about Emacs such as the importance of the Control and Meta keys as used for correct Emacs operation. I also used to be an avid user of Aquamacs before I had problems with upgrading it, so a cross-Emacs configuration is certainly a very nice thing to have. This is tricky with the terminal version of Emacs, especially when you have split frames. Although I mostly use Emacs in the terminal, there have been a number of occasions where working with the Desktop (Cocoa) version of Emacs is useful - mainly when I wanted to copy and paste large blocks of code to another app. For example, things might be simpler if you only ever use Terminal Emacs. It’s not a bad plan to change things up for a sequel, especially when the initial game was already a remake to some degree. Well that’s just your opinion, floating head guy. It’s gone a little bit Borderlands, basically. Shadow Warrior 2 keeps the first-person perspective and the blood-drenched combat (with, of course, a few additions and changes), but this time houses it inside an optionally co-operative, loot-driven structure with a dash of procedural level generation. Flying Wild Hog’s remake was a melee-and-guns FPS along broadly traditional (that is to say quite linear) shooter lines. If there does turn out to be another game after this one (fairly likely), it’s anybody’s guess what direction it might take. Remember: when you find yourself in possession of a fresh Wang, always act responsibly. If we don’t act now to preserve the dwindling supplies of Wang jokes, any follow-up to Shadow Warrior 2 could be in serious trouble. By using frame-advance features and "marking" the position of a moving object in each frame, students are able to more precisely determine the position of an object at much smaller time increments than with common timing devices such as photo gates, stopwatches, and mechanical dot timers. The video camera is used to "collect" position and time data, which can then be used to mathematically and graphically model anything related to the position and/or motion of the object. Regardless of the specific program used, video analysis is performed using the same basic principles. Several of these programs are described in the following paragraphs, with links to web pages offering further descriptions, and purchasing and/or download information. Such technology is not only applicable to physics studies mathematics teachers should also find it relevant to their studies (Bryan 2005). I learned that not only had developments in digital video increased the quality of video recordings so much that you could actually see a falling basketball during playback, but also several computer programs could now perform calculations and make graphs of position, velocity, and acceleration with just a mouse click. I didn't think much more about using video for studying motion until I attended a conference in the fall of 2002 and became aware of new developments in video analysis. Video Analysis in the Twenty-First Century Although the prospect of using video to study motion was promising, the technology of the early 1990s (at least the affordable technology) was not yet sophisticated enough to make it possible. When using the pause and frame-advance features, we couldn't even tell that there was a basketball anywhere in the frame. The quality of the recording and/or playback was so poor that the basketball was just one big blur as it fell. I placed the tape in the player, put the overhead over the screen, and hit Play. I don't know about the students, but I was excited when we returned to the classroom to view the video of the falling basketball. I found the specifications for the video camera so that we could know how much time passed between successive frames. Another student stood on the floor below and held a meter stick in view to use for scaling when analyzing the distances the ball fell between each frame. At the appropriate time, I took my AP Physics students to the gym, set up the camera, and had one student take a basketball to the top bleacher and drop it while being filmed. I was eager to try out this new data-collection method once school started that fall. Projectile motion, relative velocity, circular motion, collisions, and energy conservation of falling objects and pendulums were only some of the situations I had planned for my class to study using video recordings. Over the course of that summer, I made plans for my AP Physics students to analyze most, if not all, of the same types of motion they had done the year before in the introductory physics course. I even figured that we could analyze the motion of more than one object in the same video. They would then measure changes in the object's position with time and calculate velocities and accelerations just like they had done before with other position and time data sets. Then, using the pause and frame-advance features of the VHS player, my students could mark the transparency to indicate the object's location in each frame and obtain a data source of successive dots similar to what they obtained when using the dot timers, carbon, and paper tape. Whatever the case, the idea was that I could film an object's motion, place the recording in the VHS player, and place an overhead transparency over the television screen. I may have read about it in a teaching journal or heard about it from some other person, or I may have actually generated the idea by linking my experiences using carbon tape "dot timers" in class and playing around with the pause and frame-advance features on my VHS player. My first encounter with using video to teach high school physics concepts occurred one summer in the early 1990s while I was teaching at a large suburban high school. |
